SEO and Content Lead (Spanish and English)

A mom finds a bilingual list of bath-time words, saves it and sends it to her cousin. You wrote that guide.

Tatako is hiring its first SEO and Content Lead to grow tatako.com and the parent blog in two languages. Topics, guides, editorial standards and the organic growth they bring are yours to build.

About Tatako

Tatako makes short spoken English lessons for little ones. A lesson takes about five minutes, there is nothing to read, and a small round octopus keeps everyone company. He has eight arms, no socks, and usually loses count at seven.

Spanish stays the language of home, and Tatako adds a little English on top. An optional Spanish guide voice explains what to do and switches off anytime. Every lesson has three small steps: Hear it, say it. Touch it. Name it. In the last step the picture comes back without the word, and the child names it first.

The course has 369 first words and phrases, from “hello” and “mommy” to colors, animals and what the teacher says at preschool. Tatako works in the browser on any phone or tablet, and we start with Spanish-speaking families across the United States.

The role

  • Remote and full-time, open to candidates who live in Florida, Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee or Arizona
  • Native or near-native Spanish and fluent English
  • You report directly to the founders

By day 90, both blogs publish every day to one clear standard, and you know which guides bring parents from the blog to the lessons.

What you will do

  • Map what parents ask about at home: first words, daily routines, raising bilingual kids, getting ready for preschool, and turn it into a plan for tatako.com/blog and tatako.com/es/blog.
  • Build guides from the course itself: word lists by theme from the 369 words and phrases, and things to say at breakfast, at bath time, in the car and at bedtime.
  • Keep a daily publishing rhythm on both blogs: a calendar, tight briefs, a careful edit, and every article written for its reader rather than translated line by line.
  • Lay internal links like a path: from a guide on colors to the lessons that teach them, from the blog to app.tatako.com, and between the two blogs with hreflang.
  • Own technical SEO with the engineers: site structure, page speed, structured data, sitemaps and canonicals, with Google Search Console open every morning.
  • Write the editorial standards: warm, practical advice, no medical promises, no claims about results, and a clear note when a question belongs with the pediatrician.
  • Create the pages that explain Tatako: the three small steps, the Spanish guide voice that switches off anytime, and the grown-up’s two-minute marks that shape the next lesson.

What you bring

  • 4+ years in SEO and content for a consumer brand, publisher or app, with articles you planned, wrote and grew yourself.
  • Real technical SEO: you read a crawl report, fix a redirect chain, write schema markup and explain an indexing issue in plain words.
  • An editor’s ear: you hear when a sentence was translated instead of written, and you rewrite it until it sounds like home.
  • Command of Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs or Semrush.
  • You know the questions Latino parents bring to the school gate, Sunday lunch and the family group chat.
  • Experience writing on topics where trust matters: named authors, careful claims and advice a parent can use tonight.
  • Headlines that earn the click without overselling, and briefs a writer can follow without a single question.

Bonus points

  • You have grown a bilingual site from a blank page.
  • You have worked in early education or written for parents before.
  • You can brief a designer on a printable word list or an illustrated guide.

Why you will love it

  • Your guides lead somewhere: a parent reads about the words to start with and meets the octopus that same night.
  • Two blogs, one voice, and it is yours to set.
  • Topics families live every day: the words said at home, bedtime routines and what the teacher says at preschool.
